In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, in August 2004 we began construction of a new home for a family of seven on North Wheatland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. This family included Angelia and her six children: Tequanna (14), Tyrisha (11), Sha-twan (10), Angelia (7), Erle (5) and Erin (1). In February 2005 we completed building a four bedroom, two-story home for this large family.

The following churches contributed to this effort: Hilliard United Methodist, Indian Run United Methodist, St. Brendan Catholic, St. James Lutheran, and Scioto Ridge United Methodist. We thank these churches and their volunteers! We were also delighted to have Congresswoman Deborah Pryce and her staff join us in mission this year.

Hilliard Adopt-A-House applied for this build in early May 2004. Construction began on Angelia's home in mid-August, was completed in February and was dedicated on March 13, 2005. One hundred and eighty-nine different volunteers participated in this mission 599 times for a total of 2,973 hours. Click on a link below to see photo album pages from each month of our project.
