Ron began volunteering with Hilliard Adopt-A-House in 2002. His construction expertise and leadership were quickly apparent as he became a construction crew leader almost immediately. In 2012 he assumed the responsibility of House Lead for the group. From 2002 to 2013 he served over 3,000 hours, helping a dozen families realize their dream of home ownership.

Ronald "Pat" Danals, age 78, of Dublin, passed away January 20, 2015.
Ron was born in Ontario, Ohio to E. Leon and Gertrude Danals. He was a 1954 graduate of Springfield Local High School and studied his pre engineering courses at Baldwin Wallace University and later received his degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Ron was a Plant Manager at Goodyear for 36yrs and was involved in the startup of plants in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan and Ohio.
He was an active member of Indian Run United Methodist Church and Habitat for Humanity of MidOhio. It was with the church and Habitat for Humanity that Ron directed his energy, generosity, skill of woodworking and the joy he found in helping others.
Many individuals who met Ron would make the comment "He is the nicest man I ever met" and they were right.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; and his first wife of 52 years, Nancy.
He is survived by wife, Edna; children, Roger(Leslie) Danals of Columbus, Cynthia Danals of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Rick Danals of Beavercreek, Ohio and Debbie Mason of Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna and Tyler Mason; sisters, Joan (Ralph) Beer and Helen (Dave) Nicholson. |
