Hilliard Adopt-A-House applied for a build in March and was able to start construction in May as follows:
- March 7, 2005 - Acquired funds and pledges amounting to $45,000 and completed application for 2005 build.
- March 8, 2005 - Submitted application to HFH-GC.
- April 28, 2005 - Hilliard Adopt-A-House met with Moustapha Ndiath, the father of the prospective family.
- May 18, 2005 - Hilliard Adopt-A-House laid out sill plates.
- May 19, 2005 - Hilliard Adopt-A-House put up band boards and got I-beams in place with the help of subcontractors.
- May 25, 2005 - Hilliard Adopt-A-House put up the joists for the first floor deck.
- May 28, 2005 - Hilliard Adopt-A-House finished the main floor joists, laid the deck and painted the deck.
